New start of Agro-City
Saturday, November 26, 2011 21:14:01 -- The government has resumed construction of the Farming City of the Northeast, at a cost of RD$54 million. This is a major push in the development of one of the country's most productive regions, San Francisco de Macoris. The work was announced in an event headed by the Minister of Agriculture, Salvador (Chio) Jimenez, and attended by the senator for Duarte province, Amilcar Romero, the provincial governor, Luz Selene Plata, the director of Livestock, Angel Faxas and the president of the Presidential Commission for the Support of Provincial Development, Cesar Fernandez. Jimenez said that through the construction of the Farming City, President Leonel Fernandez's government was working in benefit of all farm producers in the region.
